This pretty journal cover shows a detail from Chrysanthemums in the Garden at Petit-Gennevilliers in The Met collection, which was painted in 1893 by Gustave Caillebotte (French, 1848-1894). A primary figure in the Impressionist movement, Caillebotte was deeply inspired by nature and the out-of-doors and was, throughout his life, an enthusiastic gardener.
