Boston International is a woman-owned, design-driven company that has been a leader in the gift industry since 1986. BI started as an import company, and in 2001 became the exclusive distributor of Ideal Home Range® (IHR) - the highest quality paper linen and tabletop accessory line imported from Germany. We continue to enjoy this long standing relationship today, and that of our other prestigious “partners” such as Santoro Graphics from Great Britain, and The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.

In 2013, with new owners and a new management team in place, BI launched its' own brand of giftware and increased dynamic partnerships with artists including - The Rosanne Beck Collection, Marimekko, and Anne Taintor - to name a few.

We are deeply committed to growing the company’s partnerships with vendors and retailers to develop innovative products of superior quality that celebrate the home. We are driven by our excitement for home and entertaining, and love sharing our collections with the world!


Meet the BI Team:

Angelica Berrie, Partner & Chairman of the Board
Ms. Berrie has been Partner at Boston International since 2008 when she joined the board after 25+ years in the wholesale gift industry. After the death of her husband, giftware icon Russ Berrie, Angelica became Vice-Chair and CEO of Russ Berrie Co., a global gift company known for its teddy bears and RUSS Trolls. In addition to her role as Chairman of the Board at Boston International, Ms. Berrie wears many hats in the industry: she is currently Chairman of Global Nomad, an experiential travel design company based in Hong Kong; and President of The Russell Berrie Foundation, which has made transformational gifts to establish many non-profit organizations.

Pam Metz, President & Owner
Pam Metz joined Boston International in December 2007 as an independent consultant. In 2008, she took on the fulltime role as VP of Sales. In 2013, Ms. Metz took the reins as President, and in 2014 she also became an owner. During her time at BI, Ms. Metz has reimagined the product offering, incorporating giftware and home décor items to complement the core line of paper tableware. In 2020, Ms. Metz took the daunting task of moving the company's headquarters cross country from Massachusetts to Indiana, where there was room to expand and grow the business. Since relocating, BI has nearly doubled in volume and has opened its first retail outlet, Celebrate The Home. Before coming to BI. Ms. Metz served as the first and only female field Vice President of Sales for Russ Berrie company. With 30 years of experience in the giftware and decorative accessories market, Pam has been recognized by the National Association of Female Executives. She participates in the Gift and Home Trade Association, serves on multiple boards and is active in several state and local business organizations. Ms. Metz lives in Indiana with her husband Paul and their five fur babies. In her free time, Pam enjoys reading, nature, and traveling the world. Her favorite party to host is a summer barbeque. She says, "There's nothing better than a warm summer day spent by the pool, enjoying good food with great friends!"

Lori Kelly, Vice President of Sales
Ms. Kelly joined Boston International in 2009 as the National Key Accounts Manager, servicing mid-sized to large national accounts throughout the United States. In 2013 her position was expanded to National Sales Manager, and in 2017 she took on the position of Vice President of Sales. She is responsible for motivating a national salesforce of over 125 dynamic representatives. Prior to joining Boston International, Lori founded Party Works, a chain of retail party supply stores. Ms. Kelly spent 25 years developing Party Works into one of the top 5 consumer party goods stores in the USA. In addition to operating Party Works, Ms. Kelly was a speaker for many industry events and consulted in her field as well.

Denise Harley, Vice President of New Business and Resources
Denise Harley has been with Boston International since 2007 and has risen quickly to the role of Vice President of Operations. She has been instrumental in streamlining practices that have led to operational improvements and profitability. Denise has over 20 year’s extensive background in Buying, Planning and Product Development with large store chains; Hallmark, Filene’s Basement and Chadwick’s of Boston. Her unique knowledge of retail, catalog, and wholesale industries helps drive sales and manage inventory within the company.
